Why AI does not always work for writers...

Don’t get us wrong, we find AI useful, but in many ways it is limited.

We used AI to help create our website, but we had to edit the sh*t out of it. Why? Because AI cannot replace an expert editor.

AI is limited to algorithms, and as such it lacks the specialism, creativity and the personalised approach real experts can provide.

As writers providing a service, we must have a tailored approach.

A good writer has the ability to use the right turn of phrase, at the right moment. AI is simply selecting a computer generated style.

A good editor recognises British and American English and adapts text accordingly. An expert editor is consistent with the writer’s own style, not simply producing generic content.

AI certainly has its place, it is the way we may well work in future, constantly… but not just yet.
