What is the future for communication professionals in the age of AI?

Probably not using AI. At present no, maybe in future, but we are yet to get there.
A personalised approach is required. Keep in mind the client’s aims, styles and personalities.
Do your research on their business, and never underestimate their knowledge, they know best, maybe not about communication consulting, but in terms of their business, yes, they do.
As communication professionals we know how to interpret and add value to business content, in the way others may not. Do not be afraid to say this to clients, I certainly was, at the beginning of my career. But the expertise we provide is important for the client to know, and it adds value that many do not expect.
